Position Objective:
Under limited supervision, this position manages the Credit and Collections Department, a
centralized accounting control unit within the Finance Division of the College responsible for the collection of debts owed to the college
and the application and disbursement of financial aid funds to student accounts. Provides technical expertise and guidance to Student
Business Services by evaluating, identifying and developing solutions for Credit & Collections and associated interfaces with Financial
Aid, Bookstore Operations, Cashiering and Finance.
Areas of responsibility focus on process improvements to streamline and automate core functions and increase efficiencies; specialized record keeping and account reconciliation of applicable funds; employee development, evaluation, and work assignments; maintain compliance with all applicable state, federal, and College rules and regulations.
Minimum Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Minimum Experience/Training:
Typically over three to five years general business or accounts receivable experience,
preferably in a higher education setting; with three years in a discipline specific function and three years of supervisory or lead
experience required.
An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
