QUEENSBURY?As part of their outreach program, New Hope Loves The North Country, the New Hope Community Church will offer free oil changes to single moms and widows on Friday, July 27.

Appointments can be made on the web at www.sharingnewhope.org/nhlnc or by calling the church at 518-798-5778.

Appointments start at 6 p.m. through 7:45 p.m.? (four appointments open every 15 minutes)

To make an appointment, you will need to provide name, contact info, year make model, engine size and whether or not they use synthetic oil.

The church is located at 454 Corinth Road, Queensbury.? 7-18-12

Purpose:
Translates the company objectives and strategies into an actionable sales, coverage and distribution plan in assigned market to ensure the achievement and maximization of the company?s brand growth as well as profitability objectives.

Job Description:
? Develop the sales business plan to maximize profits, turnover growth, coverage and distribution of the company?s brand portfolio.
? Develop the sales forecasts by product, month, district/area, and channel.
? Responsible for the achievement of all objectives set within the approved business plan.
? Ensure the timely update of the rolling forecast.
? Responsible for the timely collections of all receivables.
? Reviews and approves (along with finance and legal Dept) all contracts to be signed with the trade.
? Reviews and approves the opening of new client files (as per company guidelines).
? Constantly review and update the credit terms for the trade and attain the necessary approvals before implementation.
? Support the sales team to penetrate new channels and/or regions through creative sales techniques.
? Responsible for the department operation within approved budget boundaries.
? Issue monthly reports to Managing Director on all matters concerning the Sales department performance and its operations.
? Prepare & present quarterly business reviews for the department.
? Develop an efficient sales department structure that best serves the sales development plans.
? Manage and direct the sales team towards effective implementation of marketing activities.
? Support the district and channel managers in developing their proposals and presentations as per company standards.
? Control sales targets (product mix) and department expenses to meet approved budget guidelines.
? Prepare and submit price model proposals while ensuring to avoid shelf/trade price gaps.
? Develop the sales capability through coaching and mentoring to the sales team to continuously improve performance
? Follow up and evaluate the performance of the sales team to ensure that sales targets and KPI?s are met.
? Ensure that adequate and qualified sales workforce is sourced as per the business requirements.
? Ensure that the sales department is adhering to company policies and guidelines.
? Ensure that all sales department reports are produced, filed and updated in timely fashion.
? Ensures that all trade marketing efforts are planned on time and efficiently implemented.
? Maintains close coordination with the category management team to ensure proper support is given to the sales team and that the category plans are being implemented efficiently while taking joint corrective measures wherever required.
? Provide timely update to the managing director on the development of the sales department and changes in market dynamics.
? Maintain accurate records of all pricings, sales, and activity reports submitted by District Managers and Channel Managers.
? Prepare and submit the monthly and quarterly, sales review report on time.
? Maintain close and good relations with key clients.
? Ensures that the routes and coverage cycles are updated on timely manner and maintained at efficient levels.

Decision-Making Authority:
- Implementation and execution of approved budget.
- Employee evaluation and disciplinary action.
- Execution of sales and distribution plan.

Compensation Package:

The bi-weekly summer poetry event continues on July 25^th, featuring Donald Hall, the fourteenth poet laureate of the United States! The festivities begin at 5:00 in the Makeshift Theater with a prelude on the poet by Michael Cervas. After that, Brass City Brass will be playing music in the sunken garden at 6:15, followed by poetry from Donald Hall at 7:30. Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, food and wine and enjoy the beauty of the Sunken Garden Poetry Festival. Food and drinks are also available for purchase on site. Former Beavers in pro baseball

Thanks to Hank Hager over at Oregon State, here is a look at former Beavers in pro baseball as we hit the Major League Baseball All-Star break.

Darwin Barney (Chicago Cubs) ? Barney has appeared in 82 games for the Cubs and is batting .259 with 17 doubles, two triples and three home runs. He has driven in 23 and has 18 walks to just 28 strikeouts in 293 at-bats.

Carter Bell (Arizona Diamondbacks) ? Bell has played in 49 games for the Visalia Oaks, Arizona?s Class-A affiliate in the California League. He is batting .244 with six doubles, one triple and one home run with 17 RBIs.

Parker Berberet (Milwaukee Brewers) ? Berberet is with Milwaukee?s High-A affiliate Brevard County, in the Florida State League, where he is batting .268 with five doubles and four RBI in 25 games. He played in 14 games for Class-A Wisconsin earlier in the season.

Dave Brundage (Atlanta Braves) ? Brundage is the manager of the Triple-A Gwinnett Braves, Atlanta?s affiliate in the International League. The club stands at 43-49 this season, seven games out of first place in the Southern Division.

Jamie Burke (Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim) ? Burke is in his first season as a minor league manager, manning the Class-A Cedar Rapids Kernels of the Midwest League. The team is 6-11 in the second half after finishing at 32-38 in the first half of play.

Ryan Dunn (Tampa Bay) ? Dunn has appeared in 16 games for Class-A Hudson Valley of the New York-Penn League. He is batting .276 with four doubles and 14 RBIs. He has 13 walks to just six strikeouts in 58 at-bats.

Jacoby Ellsbury (Boston Red Sox) ? Ellsbury is on the 60-day disabled list after playing in seven games in April. He is eligible to come off the list soon and may do so shortly after the All-Star Break.

Mike Ekstrom (Colorado Rockies) ? Ekstrom has pitched in 37 games for Triple-A Colorado Springs (Pacific Coast League) where he is 2-1 with a 2.64 earned run average. He has struck out 51 in 47 2/3 innings.

Sam Gaviglio (St. Louis Cardinals) ? Gaviglio has started in 14 games for Single-A Quad Cities (Midwest League) where he is 5-5 with a 4.50 ERA in 80 innings. He has 68 strikeouts to just 15 walks.

Cole Gillespie (Arizona Diamondbacks) ? Gillespie has played in 85 games for the Triple-A Reno Aces (Pacific Coast League) and is batting .319 with 20 doubles, three triples and 10 home runs. He has driven in 43 with 10 stolen bases.

Tyler Graham (Arizona Diamondbacks) ? Graham is with Triple-A Reno but is on the seven-day disabled list and has not played since joining the Arizona organization after being released by San Francisco. He had hit .263 in five games for Triple-A Fresno.

Eddie Kunz (San Diego Padres) ? Kunz has pitched in nine games for Double-A San Antonio (Texas League) and is 1-1 with a 2.08 ERA in 13 innings. He had pitched in 18 games for Triple-A Tucson (PCL), going 2-1 with a 6.59 ERA in 26 2/3 innings.

Jordan Lennerton (Detroit Tigers) ? Lennerton has appeared in 85 games for Double-A Erie (Eastern League) and is batting .281 with 16 doubles, 17 home runs and 59 RBIs.

James Nygren (Miami Marlins) ? Nygren is playing for Single-A Greensboro in the South Atlantic League and is 5-1 with a 5.01 earned run average in 27 games. He also has 10 saves and has thrown 46 2/3 innings.

Ryan Ortiz (Oakland Athletics) ? Ortiz has played in 44 games for Double-A Midland (Texas League) and is batting .167 with five doubles, one triple, two home runs and 13 RBIs.

Josh Osich (San Francisco Giants) ? Osich has pitched in 16 games, making two starts, for Class-A San Jose (California League). He is 0-2 with a 3.50 ERA in 18 innings. He has 18 strikeouts.

Joe Paterson (Arizona Diamondbacks) ? Paterson has pitched in 29 games for Triple-A Reno (PCL), going 2-1 with a 4.44 ERA in 24 1/3 innings. He had made six appearances with the Diamondbacks earlier in the season.

Greg Peavey (New York Mets) ? Peavey has made 15 starts for Double-A Binghamton (Eastern League) and is 3-6 with a 5.94 ERA in 77 1/3 innings.
Jorge Reyes (San Diego Padres) ? Reyes is pitching for Triple-A Tucson (PCL) where he has appeared in 18 games, all starts. He is 6-8 with a 5.14 ERA in 105 innings of work.

Kevin Rhoderick (Chicago Cubs) ? Rhoderick has pitched in 27 games for Double-A Tennessee (Southern League) and is 2-4 with a 4.33 ERA in 35 1/3 innings. He has seven saves and 30 strikeouts while opponents are hitting .211 against him.

Daniel Robertson (San Diego Padres) ? Robertson is with Triple-A Tucson (PCL) and is batting .318 with 17 doubles, three triples and one home run with 27 RBIs. He will represent the PCL as a Triple-A All-Star on Wednesday in Buffalo, N.Y. The game can be seen live on the MLB Network at 4 p.m.

Tanner Robles (Cincinnati Reds) ? Robles was recently promoted to High-A Bakersfield (California League) where he has thrown in one game, going six innings and allowing three hits. He had previously pitched for Class-A Dayton (Midwest League) and was 5-5 with a 4.45 ERA in 16 games.

Stefen Romero (Seattle Mariners) ? Romero has played in 16 games for Double-A Jackson since being promoted and is batting .397 with six doubles, two triples, three home runs and 21 RBIs. He was batting .357 with 11 home runs and 51 RBIs with Class-A High Desert (California League) prior to the promotion.

Adalberto Santos (Pittsburgh Pirates) ? Santos is on a rehab assignment with the Pirates? Gulf Coast League club. Prior to that, he had played for Double-A Altoona (Eastern League), batting .396 with four doubles in 17 games.

Kraig Sitton (Colorado Rockies) ? Sitton is with Class-A Modesto (California League) and is 1-1 with a 1.63 ERA in 33 games, all in relief. He has thrown 38 2/3 innings this season.

Mike Stutes (Philadelphia Phillies) ? Stutes is on the 15-day disabled list and has pitched in six games for the Phillies, working a total of 5 2/3 innings.

Andrew Susac (San Francisco Giants) ? Susac has played in 60 games for Class-A San Jose (California League) and is batting .234 with 10 doubles, six home runs and 28 RBIs.

Daniel Turpen (Minnesota Twins) ? Turpen is with Double-A New Britain (Eastern League) where he has pitched in 29 games, all in relief, and has a 3-2 record and 4.70 ERA in 46 innings.

Tyler Waldron (Pittsburgh Pirates) ? Waldron has pitched in 17 games for Class-A Bradenton (Florida State League). He is 5-6 with a 5.40 ERA in 85 innings.

Joey Wong (Colorado Rockies) ? Wong is with Class-A Asheville (South Atlantic League) and is batting .250 with two triples and three home runs. He has also played a combined 10 games with Class-A Tri City (Northwest League) and Modesto (California League).
